The demo features six different tracks:
A very simple track. Basically an almost flat track
with a small jump in the middle. Doesn't quite resemble
a real trial track since it was created
to familiarize the player with the controls.
Also a simple track. Contains some small jumps that
shouldn't be a problem for the amature driver. The important thing
to remember is that you can lean forward
and backward at the same time as you accelerate or break
(see the in game help for info on keys). If you learn this
techniques you can race up and down over steep hills.
A somewhat harder track on the easy skill level. Starts with
a small hill with a jump that shouldn't cause any problems. Then
the hole follows. Here it's good to learn the jump technique which
will be useful on many harder tracks. Start by leaning backwards
as you accelerate towards the hole. Then lean forward and accelerate
as you reach the jump. In mid-air try to adjust the orientation of the
bike so that you will maintain your speed after landing.
The uphill that follows the hole is good training for steeper
hills on harder tracks. Be sure that you lean forward as you accelerate
up to the top but take it easy over the top so you don't fly off
the track on the other side.
A bunch of boxes that can be very hard for the inexperienced
driver but a piece of cake for the professional. If the driver
is good at long and high jumps the track can be finished quite quickly but
this requires some training.
This track has a challenge for everyone. With a low end bike from
the 100cc league the jumps can be controlled more easily. An amateur bike
from the 175cc league can easily overshoot some of the obstacles
so be careful. Remember that the bikes have brakes...
Have you got the skills to master this track? Work yourself up to the top of
the first hill and make the giant leap towards the obelix. If you are lucky and
riding a 175cc you might just make the jump. If you make it, a new uphill battle
will commence and finally the goal is yours.
